Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis with a 170-inch wheelbase, the Melbourne is powered by a 2.0L inline four-cylinder Twin Turbo diesel engine producing 211 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. Frameless windows provide a clean automotive appearance, while the Tufflex PVC laminated roof and one-piece seamless fiberglass front cap provide durable exterior construction. The Melbourne also features the industry’s largest travel-view entrance door window, giving the interior an open feel and providing additional visibility.
The Melbourne is equipped for comfortable travel in a variety of conditions, with a 30,000 BTU auto-ignition ducted furnace and a 42,000 BTU Suburban on-demand hot water heater. A 4,000W LP generator provides onboard power, while an optional 200W solar panel with dual controller and second house battery can add greater off-grid capability.
